Robotics & Intelligent Systems Laboratory
The Robotics & Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory (City Tech Robotics Lab) at New York City College of Technology (also known as "City Tech") of the City University of New York (CUNY) is a multi-disciplinary research and technology laboratory established by Dr. Richard Li, and co-directed by Dr. Yu Wang, Dr. Lili Ma and Dr. Ohbong (John) Kwon in the Department of Computer Engineering Technology at City Tech.
City Tech Robotics Lab hosts several faculty members with cross multi-disciplinary backgrounds, and conducts fundamental and applied research in the broad fields of robotics, embedded systems, control systems, and communication systems with specialized expertise in distributed robotic systems, IoT, wearable computing, multi-agent dynamical systems, cognitive radio communications, testing systems and theory, computer vision, DSP, digital design and signal processing.
Activities in City Tech Robotics Lab span applied mathematics, design and testing of advanced computations and novel hardware, application system design and developments, joint research and projects with internal and external institutions, new course/lab material initiative and development, and student project development.
Computer Engineering & Robotics Technology Seminar Series
The Computer Engineering & Robotics Technology Seminar Series, formerly known as Robotics Technology Seminar Series, are organized and hosted by City Tech Robotics Research Lab with City Tech Robotics Club and City Tech ACM Chapter every academic year. The seminar series feature technology and research presentation or demonstration by invited fellows from industries and academia in the fields of, including but not limited to, pervasive computing, embedded systems, robotics, applied control systems, wireless communication, computer networking, computer vision, VLSI and signal processing.
These seminars will provide students with unique opportunities to be exposed to the emerging and leading technologies in the broad areas of computing, electronics, electrical, and software engineering and technologies.

Three Research Assistance Scholarships are Available for Immediate Application
1. CUNY Undergraduate Research Program, $5,000 for
conducting research project for one year.
2. City Tech Baccalaureate Student Research
Program offers $2,500 to students for conducting research
3. City Tech Emerging Scholar, $500 for conducting
research project for one semester.

Openings for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
City Tech Robotics Lab has multiple Research Assistant opennings for students with strong motivation, solid academic background and relevant skills, who are willing to conduct research project in the fields of computer, electrical, electronics and software engineering. Interested candidates are encouraged to search the listed projects and contact the corresponding faculty members for further information. Compensation or financial aid will be offered for qualified candidates.
Students from any other CUNY campus who are majored in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, or related majors are also welcome to apply.

Independent Study (3 credits) Opportunities for City Tech Undergraduate Students
City Tech Robotics Lab offers Independent Study opportunities to City Tech undergraduate students for doing research projects guided by City Tech Robotics Lab faculty in a semester. The independent study can help the students earn 3 or 4 credits.
